Rototom premieres the film that tells the fascinating story of how a group of friends who organized concerts in a nightclub in northern Italy, 20 years later ended up creating the world’s largest reggae festival in Benicassim.
Produced by Rototom, with over 40 testimonies and small fragments of concerts by artists such as the Ramones, Massive Attack or Michel Petrucciani, the documentary will be distributed for free by chapters on the festival’s website from 1 July.
How a small project dreamt up by four friends becomes, twenty years later, the world’s largest reggae festival without losing its essence. That’s the story that More than Twenty narrates. The film looks back, in eight exciting 15 minute episodes, on the journey of Rototom from its birth as a partnership in 1991 and as a festival in 1994, up to its successful 20th anniversary in 2013. The first of which will be released tomorrow Tuesday, July 1, via Rototom.tv and the Dailymotion platform, the other episodes will be released every Tuesday and Thursday of the month until Thursday the 24th.
