RAS-I DROPS ‘KNOW HERB’ REMIX AND OFFICIAL VIDEO FOR 4/20

Jamaican reggae star on the rise, Ras-I is releasing the highly anticipated remix for his ‘Know Herb’ single produced by Drew Keys(Haze St. Dub) and Ras-I himself. The song which was originally shared and popularized on social media platforms and YouTube in 2018, became the latest anthem for the infamous April 20 holiday celebrating marijuana, better known as 4/20.

After the successful launch of his debut album, Tsjourna in November 2019, which attracted features from Jamaica Gleaner, Reggaeville, World A Reggae, Djbooth.net and Vashtie.com among other well-known media outlets, Ras-I has gained quite a bit of attention within the reggae community.

One of his biggest hits from the album for example “Crazy Over You” featuring Runkus and Royal Blu, saw over 36K views on YouTube alone. Clearly never one to shy away from collaborations, this new ‘Know Herb’ project, the first since his album, is expected to be equally revered by reggae music fans, smokers and non-smokers alike.

The remix features a host of young reggae acts (The Steam Team) including the MoBay born artiste KALI GRN who toasts on the first verse of the song. There’s also the up and coming crooner Blvk H3ro who recently released his new single “Young Boss” as well as the budding lyricist 5Star who is featured on the final verse. Beyond the commemoration of the day, this contemporary roots reggae song is meant to not only speak to the recreational uses of marijuana but also its spiritual uses for Rastafarians.
