JUNGLE KINGMAN, THE SAMARITAN FIREBRAND HAS EMERGED AS A LYRICAL, RYTHEMATIC ARTISTE; WHO IS AN AUTHENTIC JAMAICAN WHO DOES REGGAE/ALTERNATIVE GENRE. HE WAS BORNED JANUARY 17; TO A DEVOTIVE MOTHER CARMEL ROBINSON. HE WAS GIVEN THE NAME ALBERT CAMPBELL. THE NAME JUNGLE KINGMAN WAS INSPIRED FROM HIM EVALUTING HIS CHARCTER. HIS SELF- PROCLAIMS NAME HAS A SIGNIFICANT MEANING TO HIM ‘DEFEATING LIFE OBSTACLE AND SUCCESSFULLY STANDING OUT’ AND INDEED THAT’S ALWAYS HIS AIM.
As youngster, being the second of four children, Campbell’s leadership stood out among his siblings, with yet, a humble spirit. He grew up in Jamaica in the parish of in St Ann, in a small district called Betel town and attended Waltham Hobby all age school. Thereafter, he then moved to the United States and continues his studies at Harding high school. Campbell’s musical journey all started from singing in the church and family functions where they are very receptive him. With music as his passion, Campbell deems to expose his musical talent, even after making a transition of living in Connecticut, USA. He didn’t stray from his musical roots of reggae music despite his location. His musical influences stemmed from Dennis Brown, Gregory Isaac, Bob Marley, Capleton, Jacob Miller, Burro Banton and Yellow Man. What might sound cliché is that, Jungle Kingman wasn’t about to live the American dream but, to make his music become fruitful.
Campbell’s musical career was started in 1983 but in 1985, he exercised his talent when he started singing on sound systems; however his musical career became official in 1995. He was booked for shows in around his home town, Connecticut. Campbell share stage with Luciano in 2010, Reggae Feast 2010 with I-Wayne and Reggae flavor in 2012 along with a host of Jamaican artiste. Campbell has worked with producers Ed Robison and Phillip Smart both from New York; and Jamaican producers such as Steven ‘the genius’ McGregor and Mafia World Muzik. With countless radio, television interviews, press releases and three albums later. Campbell did put in the work. Under his label, Straight line music Born Alone released in 2012, Rise in 2011 and 2009 Unstoppable are his albums that can be found on Amazon. Born alone, Step pan dem, Heart Cry, are songs Campbell is known for. Mi nuh like the pagan dem produced by 3rdfloor productions and Body to body produced by Bashy Wave Productions are singles that are currently in rotation in 2013.
