While embarking on an extended world tour, Busy Signal is ensuring his Jamaican fans are not left devoid of his music as he is set to drop a new mixtape in the coming weeks.
The prominent entertainer will unveil a double disc containing 56 tracks, chronicling the singjay’s classic and recent hits as well as exclusive material and freestyles. The mixtape is broken into two parts: A Reggae CD, entitled “You and Me” containing 21 tracks including the title track, “You And Me” and “Come Over” as well as a 35-track Dancehall CD, “One a Mi Gyal.”
The mixtape is produced by HITZ 92FM disc jockey, DJ Tropical, who began working with Busy on the project shortly after the artist’s release from a U.S. prison last November. The mixtape will be available on Soundcloud as well as Mediafire.
Busy has dropped or featured on several mixtapes before including the 2010 effort, “My Way,” hosted by DJ Khaled. Additionally, breakout singles like “Step Out,” “Born and Grow” and “I’d Like To Say” gained lasting momentum thanks to mixtapes featuring Busy in the early and mid-2000s.
Currently, Busy Signal is on a tour of various sections of Europe, Asia, the Middleeast and the Caribbean until November, with small breaks in between. He recently released videos for newly-released singles, “Defense,” “Bout It” and “Artist.”
As for DJ Tropical, he will be releasing a self-produced compilation, the Instant ResponseRiddim, featuring Flexxx, Dwayno and more
