Joggo showed up from nowhere with a release of his first mixtape and turned on the whole reggae scene. His tracks are flying in a ridiculous tempo around the world. One of them is “Beware” who got a #2 position for weeks in the official reggae charts of Germany. It did not took long before Joggo performed on stages of large festivals like: Summerjam and ReggaeJam in Germany. These shows proves Joggo’s excellent live skills. This led to international attention from producers like: Curtis Lynch and Jr Blender. Joggo got noticed by radio stations in Hawaii, where “Peace and Love,” Became a big hit.

Joggo was born on October 29, 1980 in Amsterdam and leaves right after his mixtape release to Surinam (his Fatherland). Here Joggo works on his professional soccer career without forgetting the music. In his studio ‘JOS Productions’ he make daily fresh riddims and lyrics. Being inspired by artists such as: Bob Marley, Burning Spear and Steel Pulse.

Joggo decides to explore the traditional roots reggae music, in collaboration with the Surinamese producers’ Decko and Marro. This resulted in Joggo’s first album called “Modern Rockers Vol 1”. Soon people started to give Joggo the nickname “The Modern Rocker” . This album was labeled by “Dreddarecords’ and brought back a lot of media attention. Joggo reveals stuck between two walls of ambitions. The contract with his soccer team makes it impossible to work on music fulltime. Joggo decides to come back with his studio to the Netherlands, to walk forward to his future plans in the music.
