The 2nd Annual Dallas Reggae Festival will be held at Addison Circle Park from 04/07/2023 – 04/09/2023. This festival celebrates reggae music and culture within the DFW metropolitan area. Under new direction from partners Mike Frakaz and Ras Elijah, the new curators and promoters have elevated the festival’s vision to bring in more inclusion and support the local arts community.
Over 20 bands will perform over the 3-day festival. The bands include Collie Buddz, Inner Circle, Fortunate Youth, Artikal Sound System, Anthony B, Passafire, Israel Vibration, Cas Haley, Jesse Royal, and Sister Nancy. “We’ve pulled together an event that will feature reggae legends and newcomers from across the globe,” festival promoter Mike Frakaz says. “The goal was to unite the audience with performers from diverse communities and many different generations.“
With over 10,000+ yearly attendees in the festival’s past history, the DRF promoters expect a similar turnout with this amazing lineup of artists and the other elements added this year. Open to the public and encouraged as a family-friendly festival, the 3-day weekend event will feature unique treasures among the arts, crafts, and jewelry vendors, Caribbean-inspired food, various artists, and local reggae bands celebrating cultural equality through reggae music.
