One Love Nutrifest, Scheduled for Saturday, November 23, 2013 | 1pm – 11pm at Peacock Park in Coconut Grove | Miami, FL
MIAMI, FL (June 1, 2013) – One Love Nutrifest dubbed Miami Reggae Festival is a positive celebration highlighting the power of word, sound and art uniting us all as members of one human family. Join us as we celebrate the state and quality of being one.
The daylong family-oriented festival will be composed of many elements but all share in a single idea: a state of being unified as one. As Bob Marley so humbly said, “one love, one aim, one destiny.”
Families will be able to enjoy live performances of artists from diverse parts of the world reflective of our landscape, an artisan village of fine arts and visual arts, a food village, AEROGA in the park led by Tracie Wright-Vlaun, bike valet, social consciousness workshops, Composting by Fertile Earth Foundation, Artecology Experience that includes recycling workshops with interactive and educational games for kids about recycling, reusing and reducing, live art, networking platform for green enthusiasts and environmental non-profits to present and promote their mission and more.
The festival aims to inspire people to give of themselves to help make the world a better place in which to live. “We’re accomplishing this task by spreading art, culture and music while offering relief and humanitarian aid.” “One Love Nutrifest is made possible with the support of the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs and the Cultural Affairs Council, the Miami-Dade County Mayor and Board of County Commissioners.”
Artists performing for this year’s festival include: Stephen “Ragga” Marley from Jamaica,
Tiken Jah Fakoly from Ivory Coast, Cultura Profética from Puerto Rico, Natiruts from Brazil, Midnite from St. Croix USVI, Gondwana from Chile, Black Slate & Carroll Thompson from United Kingdom, Bachaco from Venezuela and Causion from Antigua.
