Together with Steppin’ Into Tomorrow and Caribbean Creativity, we dive into the story of Sister Nancy with an exclusive Dutch premiere of this new documentary, a vinyl reggae DJ set by Joss-Flo Selecting, and an introduction by Angel Misier, aka Dancehall Explorer.

The documentary, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York, explores the legacy of dancehall deejay Ophlin Russell, known as Sister Nancy. It highlights her journey in reclaiming the rights to her iconic track “Bam Bam,” a song widely sampled in hip-hop and beyond.
