KISS legend David Rodigan was presented with his MBE by Prince Charles at Buckingham Palace yesterday for services to music and told us he was ‘still reeling’ from the honour.
With 34 years on the air under his belt and countless years entertaining reggae fans across the world, Rodigan is no stranger to awards, but this is by far the most prestigious.
“It was a glorious day for the music I love” said David, as he described the experience of meeting the Prince of Wales and being awarded the gong.
Rodigan was named Broadcaster of the Year in May 2009 at the Sony Radio Academy Awards and was also recently featured in US music magazineBillboard, detailing his feelings about the MBE and his career promoting his love for reggae music.
Rodigan brings reggae to the airwaves every Sunday night 11 p.m. – 1:00 a.m spinning the best in the scene, plus exclusives, like a new Amy Winehouse ft Alborosie he’s planning to premiere this weekend. You can catch up with Rodigan’s reggae on the KISS Kube.
