The Jamaican entertainment industry is today mourning the death of popular Irie FM radio personality Mighty Mike.
Mike, whose real name is Michael Jones, was reportedly found dead late yesterday evening at his home in St. Ann. He was 52 at the time of his passing.
Sources inside Irie FM’s circles told Urban Islandz that his body was found by another Irie FM disc jock, DJ Amber, who went to his home after he did not turn up for work and several calls went unanswered.
“I wish my brethren Mighty Mike will enjoy an even greater life in the spirit world,” DJ Amber said in a BBM broadcast last night. “He will be missed and remembered well by many. Gone but not forgotten. See you next lifetime my friend.”
Police suspect no foul play in his death.
