Popular Producer Sonovic has been riding high recently thanks to his contributions to various music releases in Jamaica. With his “Divine Majesty Riddim” still buzzing in the streets along with recent collaborations with Squash, Chronic Law, T’Jean, and Jahbar I, he plans to expand his reach even more in 2021. While he has been showing glimpses of his Recording Artiste side in recent months, the popular “Silhouette Challenge” on Social Media has become the inspiration for his latest single, “Silhouette”.
On the track, Sonovic gets on the phone to reach out to a love interest in hopes that they can resolve some issues, and be close again. With lines like, “Come through like a thief in the night” and “Come over, you can rest your head on my shoulder”, Sonovic emphasizes the importance of his love interest with whom he wishes to have for a lifetime. Original production of “Silhouette” comes from US Pop Artiste Doja Cat’s 2019 single “Streets”, which has been utilized in a “Silhouette Challenge” that has been trending on Twitter, Instagram, and Tik Tok in the past few days. Sonovic looks to capitalize off the trend, and further showcase his emerging skills as a Songwriter/Recording Artiste. On the Production side, he encourages fans to be on the look out for more collaborations through his Sonovic Music label in the coming weeks.
Born Jamar Roberts in Kingston, Jamaica, music was always a part of Sonovic’s life. His official entry into production came in 2015 with the release of Dexta Daps’ “Love The Money”, and has contributed his sound to Jahvillani’s “Clarks Pon Foot”, Chronic Law’s “Can’t Stay Suh”, Squash’s “Trending”, and many other singles over the years. He is also the mastermind behind the emerging “Binghi Trap” sound, and has been one of the go to Producers in recent times. Sonovic’s “Silhouette” is now available on Sonovic Music’s official Youtube channel. To stay up to date with Sonovic and his future releases, follow him on Instagram at @Sonovic.
