At the Launch of the 2023 JaRIA Honour Awards, the Jamaica Reggae Industry Association announced the introduction of a new category, “The Album of the Year” This category is open to any works, vocal or instrumental in the following sections, Reggae, Dancehall, and Gospel.

Submissions can be made on JaRIA’s website www.jariaentertainment.com through the deadline date of March 16, 2023. Additional details on the submission and nomination process are available on the website. The winners will be announced on Monday, April 10th at the Awards Gala.

Additionally, to be eligible in a specific category, it must contain 60% playing time of a Jamaican genre and can be submitted as a solo, duo, group or collaborative work. We hope you will be able to circulate the news of this exciting category enabling creatives of musical works, released in 2022, the opportunity to vie for one of the three Honour Awards offered under the Album of the Year.
