Monday June 6, 2011 was the world-wide release of Ziggi Recado’s self-titled album by VP Records; the world’s biggest reggae label. The latest single “Mary” will be available from today on iTunes and the videoclip can already be seen on Youtube
Ziggi Recado left for New York on friday the 3rd of june and shared the stage with such greats as Damian ‘Jr. Gong’ Marley, Freddie Mc Greggor, Capleton and Maxi Priest during the large benefit concert: Reggae4Japan yesterday. This concert has been partly organized by VP Records and of course, Ziggi Recado, being the biggest promise coming out of the Netherlands, could not be absent.
The world-wide release of Ziggi Recado’s new album was, June 6th, sees two pressdays planned filled to the brim in the city that never sleeps: New York. After a week of meeting the American media via the telephone, he will now be meeting them in person.
Only glowing critical reviews have followed Ziggi Recado’s third studio album for the Dutch April release. His own fan base has been overwhelmingly positive. Performances on national Dutch TV shows such as “De Wereld Draait Door” and 3FM’s Giel Beelen, a cover article in Pleasure magazine, various national newspaper articles, a very own docu-soap, the single “Get Out” and The Green Tour (in association with partner The Bulldog™) all foretold domestic success.
The single “Mary” off the new album has seen tremendous response both in the Netherlands as internationally. Ziggi Recado decided to record a videoclip to accompany the track and release it as new single of the album. This single is available digitally as of today through iTunes and others. The album “Ziggi Recado” is available for sale in stores in the Netherlands.
