Christos DC presents Crisis 2.0, a new single that is the first preview of what will be his sixth album. Scheduled for release this upcoming fall it promises to be a reflection of the current struggles and problems facing society.
“How long do you expect poor people to hold on? How long will the crisis go on? How long are you going to give your rights for a wrong?”. These are some of the questions that the North American artist asks himself. He has also created the subtle contemplative sound over a track That reflects the early Dancehall music vibe, playing the majority of the instruments himself to accompany his vocal message.
Recorded during the quarantine of 2020, Crisis 2.0 is reflection on the events that took place in the US and the response of the people’s frustrations with police brutality, the pandemic and political corruption. The strong message is tempered by the ambience of major chords and a cozy melody.
The single is accompanied by a video made in collaboration with photographer-artist Christopher ‘Puma’ Smith and shows the images he captured during 2020 at various rallies and protests across the United States. These have been combined with powerful effects created by Foto Nova, a company based in Warsaw, Poland.
Crisis 2.0 is available on all digital platforms and the video will be also released on the artist’s YouTube channel.
