Carlos Andre Don Paul Robinson or as he’s affectionately known ‘DON ANDRE’ is the young and talented Jamaican born recording artist. Don hails from South London, which has become a breed ground for new refreshing UK underground Dancehall talent.
Don Andre has received support on the UK Dancehall Radio scene with The Uk’s biggest underground station DeJaVu fully supporting him, also appearing on Choice FM’s UK Focus show with the host Natty B and on the Dancehall Show with DJ Quincy. He has also gained full support over at BBC Radio 1Xtra from their DJ’s Robbo Ranx, Young Lion and the legendary Tim Westwood. Don Andre also made it on to UK TV screens by taking part in Living TV’s Party Wars alongside X Factor contestant Stacy Solomon.
Through this experience he was able to gain wider exposure and enlighten the nation on a Jamaican Culture themed 21st birthday party. An exciting 2012 has seen Don Andre perform along side Dancehall greats Busy Signal, Tony Matterhorn and Gyptian with a lot more supporting slots lined up for the remainder of the year.
This year has been all about Don Andre on the UK Dancehall scene. Continually putting out visuals for his ‘Roll We A Roll’ mixtape EP he put out three singles through AfterHours Records, ‘Badmind Tun Up Inna Dem’, ‘Mi Baby’ and ‘Save Something’ were all full worldwide digital releases on the AfterHours Riddim EP Series. He also did a track called ‘Every Get Yout Wah Rich’ on the ‘Aura Skies Riddim’ from Jamaica that caught the attention of a more international dancehall audience.
Don Andre’s buzz has forced AfterHours to release a Pre-Album as a catalogue of the work Don has done under the label with a official music video being shot for his summer anthem ‘Fun Never Stops (Roll We A Roll)’ dropping on the same day, Sunday 10th June 2012.
