Reggae queen Marcia Griffiths has released a new album that’s again going to be a classic! It’s called ‘Golden’, and produced by Kemist Music/Donsome Records. The album came out on September 8 and is available now on all digital platforms. The album features 11 tracks produced by well-known names like Damian “Junior Gong” Marley, Clive Hunt, Donovan Germain, her son The Kemist, and Adrian Hanson for Donsome Records.
Recently, Marcia completed an extensive tour across Europe, Canada, and the Caribbean. She mentioned that the songs on the ‘Golden’ Album express how she feels about performing at this stage of her career.
Two songs from the ‘Golden Album’ are already out: ‘Let’s Talk About Music‘ on the 3 Blind Mice Riddim (2020) and ‘Beer And A Girl‘, on the Big Stage Riddim (2010), both produced by Penthouse Records boss Donovan Germain.
‘Damian “Junior Gong” Marley produced ‘That Part of Me‘, while Clive Hunt guided her on ‘Slide‘, a song written by Omi of ‘Cheerleader fame. Adrian Hanson produced ‘Time Away’, a collaboration with Turbulence, as well as ‘Black Tears‘, A collaboration with Ivory Coast’s Reggae Star Tiken Jah Fakoly. The Kemist showcases his talent alongside his mother on ‘Don’t Say Nuttin‘.
Silly Walks Discotheque From Germany, best known for Chronixx’s hit ‘Smile Jamaica’, and Romain Virgo’s ‘Soul Provider’ produced ‘Holding You Close‘.
