Abka Kaba (previously Sheldon Senior) prepares to release his latest project, Hungry Days, the Kahinga Films’ music video today Friday, June 5th, 2020. Abka states he is feeling excited about the future regarding his music career. And as the creative director and editor of Kahinga Films, he welcomes the opportunity to tell authentic stories across the world audibly and visually.
Hungry Days tells the story of hunger, not just for food, but the deep desire to reconnect with the African way of life and a longing to know more about the African continent, its people and customs. Shot in Browntown, St. Ann, and Mandeville, Jamaica, it shows the rural life of Jamaicans needing a more spiritually and inspirational experience in their lives. These scenes Intertwine with live performances from Abka, arms, and violence, all blending together to convey a message of hope amidst the present confusion and upheaval in the world.
Abka is now in the studio putting the final touches to his latest project with England-based producer Christian Cowlin of “The Wailers” fame, which will be released in late 2020, preceded by several single releases with video accompaniment.
