Jamaican artist Sanjay presents the video clip for the single Love You Enough, taken from his album Man Of My Word. The song follows the common thread of the album, emotional breakups, in what could be defined as an EMO dancehall style with reggae sounds.
About the lyrics, Sanjay said: “It’s about the stage of the relationship where I felt like I wasn’t sure it had the potential to work. So I chose to step back and give my partner the space to explore and go find what she felt she needed and all the things I wasn’t able to provide in the relationship. In other words, if I didn’t love her enough to let her stay, I had to love her enough to let her go. And the song says the rest”.
Video was directed by Krystia Royes and shot by Winston Mayhew in Kingston, basically capturing the emotions of the song showing a loved one connecting with someone else like she had already moved on in life, but a surprise twist reveals that she hadn’t fully moved on after all. The videoclip can be seen on YouTube, while the single is available on digital platforms.
