‘Citizens’ comes ahead of the Patois Brothers second album

The young Venetian Reggae band the Patois Brothers present their new videoclip Citizens. The track follows on from their successful first album, Mighty Ways, and comes ahead of the bands second album which they are currently busy working on.

Citizens is a song with strong cultural significance. In this track the Patois Brothers call people to re-evaluate life itself, and rediscover lost values ​​. “With Citizens we wanted to write the second chapter of ‘Politician’ , our debut single, where we introduced the topic of behaviour in our society, both Italy and across Europe. While ‘Politician’ focused on the ruling classes of economically advanced countries, this single focuses on society as a whole” the band explains.

This single (available soon via all online platforms) was written and produced exclusively by the Patois Brothers , and was recorded live at studio “33 Tours” in Fossò, Venice while the mixing and mastering was done by “Rolling Lion Studios” in the UK : “We personally went to a small village outside London called Sudbury where we saw the work of Daniel Boyle who mixes tracks using analogue machines mostly dating back to the 1970s which is what gives the tracks that special sound from that era, even on tracks composed in a new roots style”.

The video was directed by Luca Bragagnolo, a director from Venice, Italy who has collaborated with numerous famous Italian bands, covering reggae and other genres.
