Reggae Roast, one of the UK’s leading sound system collectives, storm the reggae scene once more with their latest single Never B4. A hard-hitting digital reggae collaboration with Mr. Williamz, one of the UK’s leading dancehall MCs.
This is the first preview of Turn Up The Heat, the debut album of this collective who recently signed to Trojan Reloaded, the newly formed sister label of the world-famous Trojan Records, Reggae Roast continue their ascent to becoming one of the most recognizable names in the UK Reggae movement.
Having been at the forefront of the UK Reggae & Soundsystem scene for over a decade this track is a homage to Reggae Roast’s unique and boundary-pushing Soundsystem. Mr. Williamz chants of system “You never hear a sound like this before… the heavyweight machine plays clean and pure”. A true accolade coming from the Jamaican born Mic man who has been singing on Soundsystem since the age of 8 years old, getting to lead the US singles charts and being honored by the BBC as the UK artist of the year 2008.
This is the first release of Trojan Reloaded, focusing on new music that has been influenced and inspired by the famed Trojan Records catalog and working with leading talent in the UK, including artists, producers, sound systems and DJ’s.
Never B4 is released together with a video clip and is available on all digital platforms. Two infections remixes of the tune are due for release soon.
